IVAN & ALEXI are five-year-old brothers. They are front declawed and perfectly content at being indoor cats. As you can see by the picture, they are inseparable and need to be kept together in a new, inside only, home. Ivan and Alexi are very friendly, good with kids, love to sit on my lap (or any guest lap), and often sleep with me at night. Look at these adorable cats, someone out there must be looking for two very bonded, very sweet, even tempered, loving cats. Contract Ryan at fortson@gci.net

CINDERELLA is a sweet female cat was in a home with 3 young children. She loves and does well with children. Herfamily was transferred out of state and now I need to find a home for her. I've left her home alone for a week or more and she does great...I would keep her myself but our children are grown up and we travel alot. She is easy to care for..If interested call 230-8978 or email nancylahn@hotmail.com. All kitty items I have go with her. Thank you.

ELFIE is a wonderful cat who needs a forever home with no other pets. She does not do well with other cats, or with dogs, but she loves people. She is non-intrusive, but loves cuddle-time, and if she knows you're interested, she'll give little high-fives to encourage you to pet her. She was initially rescued from Animal Care and Control, but the adoptive family had allergy issues. She then went to a home with another cat and two dogs, and her hissing terrified the dogs. She was going to be taken back to Animal Control, but as I'd taken care of her in the past, I agreed to foster her until a forever home was found for this sweet girl. (Oh, I'll confess. I thought I could integrate her with my cats, but that turned out to be something my cats objected to, and Elfie was none too happy, either.) She is approximately 5 years old, spayed, up-to-date on shots, micro-chipped, and just waiting for you to give her the love and stability she so desperately needs and deserves. I will give free pet-sitting to whomever adopts her, within reason, so I can continue to visit with her. I have really fallen in love with her, but I want what's best for her and my furry family. Contact Tina at thatpetlady@alaska.com.

HAZEL is a 6 year old spayed female short haired cat. I had arranged an adoption for her as I am moving out of state, but some unexpected issues have arisen with her future adoptive family. Hazel is currently at a temporary foster home, but needs a permanent home. If you are looking for a sweet furry addition to your family please consider Hazel. Call Metis at 310-7294 or bymetis@gmail.com for details or if you are the 'one'.

My name is BRIX, I'm a Pitbull Rottwieler mix and I am 9 months old. I was rescued from a trailer with 5 children and three other dogs who ganged up on me. needless to say, I've had a rough life. I have a few behavioral issues, such as food agression with other pets around, dominance issues, and I am not potty trained. My foster mom is working her hardest to train me and Has already taught me how to sit and sit pretty. I need to go to a home with no small children and no other pets. I also need a big fenced in yard to get out all my energy! My foster mom loves me very much and will only approve a home if it is right for me. I have all my shots but I am not neutered yet. Upon adopting me, My foster mom will see to it that I get neutered! If you have any questions please call Ashley B. at 907 744 9709

ABHILINN which is gaelic for "The Wanted Child"... (sounds like Ava-lynn), is a 6 month old pit/akita/burnese mix. Needs to go into a home with no other pets. She's very loving, sweet, and knows a few basic commands. She'll dance for you when you ask her to, which is cute, and she does what I call "The Bear" when treats are involved, getting up on her haunches with her front paws in front of her like a bear... its adorable. Interested? Contact Christopher Kelliher (907) 748-0691 or ckelliher@usa.com.

TANK is a 7 year old male Rottweiler that is looking for a permanent family. He is family friendly, he’s good with other dogs, and is very well tempered. He also loves to be around people and really likes kids. Tank loves going on walks and enjoys a life of relaxation and long naps. Tank’s family is on hard financial times, and is looking for someone to give Tank the special diet his allergies require. Tank will return your commitment to him with affection, nose rubs, loyalty and security. He’s housebroken, and requires a high fence. Give Tank a chance to be your special buddy and he will not let you down. Contact Melinda at zumamusher@yahoo.com for additional info.

MOOSE is a 7-year-old boxer/lab mix who weighs about 80 lbs. She was adopted her from a friend in Anchorage about 5 years ago. The selling point for us was her interaction with our then 1-year-old daughter. She allowed our daughter (now we have two children) to play with her ears, rub her belly (she would roll over on her back), her feet – pretty much any area. There have been many times when our daughter accidentally got into Moose’s food while she was eating and Moose basically just either stopped eating and walked away or continued to eat. We honestly think that she sometimes doesn’t really care about what’s going on around her. She is quite athletic and loves to run and gets along excellent with other dogs and cats. She is well socialized and kennel-trained (we kennel her at night and when we are at work – 8+ hours sometime). I would say that her strongest attribute is that she is docile. Her favorite thing to do is explore and lounge around. We always seem to be tripping over her! We have never had any medical issues with her except for an occasional achiness in her left hind leg. I believe that labs have a predisposition to hip dysplasia. It only flares up when she is running around in the cold for a long time. She is fixed and has a microchip. It think in a past life Moose was a tine lap dog because she often tries to crawl into people’s lap – all 80 lbs. of her! Call Diane at 751-7426/work 751-5993/home 716-860-9872/cell

DARLA is a wonderful adult female spayed purebred american pit-bull terrier. She does not have papers but is current on all shots. She is great around people, from young kids to old. She does well with other dogs provided she is introduced properly. Can be stubborn (but not in a mean way) and we are working on training her with basic commands so she listens the first time to the command. :) We have a blue heeler and they interact very well. She does well on walks with leash and loves to play fetch. For more information or to meet her, call Laura on cell 830-3450.

Hi! My name is MIHO & I am 3 1/2 years old! I was rescued from Animal Control in May 2009. Unfortunately, I don’t get along with my new brother so our parents are looking for a new forever home for me. I LOVE people and I love being spoiled. I like to stare out the window and “talk” to the birds but I am definitely an indoor cat. I am a little too adventurous for my own good and must be kept indoors so I don’t wander off. My Mom tried to harness train me but I just don’t like the darn thing! I do like chasing the laser light and playing with my catnip pillow. I also love long naps on my blanket and snuggling up next to my favorite people. I have a very soft coat and enjoy being petted and getting belly rubs. I am going to make someone very happy! I am spayed but NOT declawed. My Mom keeps my claws clip even though I don’t like holding still for it. When I find my forever home, my Mom will give me my cat box, my cat post, my blanket, my food and water dishes, some of my favorite cat food, and my favorite toys to take with me. If you want to meet me, please call my Mom, Teresa, at 350-0538. P.S. I have the cutest meow!

SAMMY is the mama kitty to all but Calley, though she adopted her and made her part of her brood. She is a good mom, but she's ready to let her kids leave the nest and will be seeking her own forever home after all her medical is done. Contact Renee at 830-7122 for interest or questions on mom or the kittens.

BELLA is a 5 year old, Red Nose, Pit Bull. She is fawn/white with green eyes. She does not have papers, as she was a rescue pup. We got her when she was 4 weeks old. She is spayed, and up-to-date on all her shots. She is very mellow and she loves attention too!. She does real well riding in the truck. She is housebroken and listens well. Bella does have some phobias such as she won't walk on tile or wood floors...she prefers carpet. We put down carpet runners for her, and she's good with that. Bella must be in a home that does not have CATS or other DOGS. She has not been around small children, so it would be best if there are only adults, as we do not know how she will react. She does need a home with a fenced yard so she can get exercise. We have never chained her up and we definitely don't want that for her. We need to place her in a loving and safe environment, and preferably with someone who knows the breed, and their needs. If you are interested or have any other questions about Bella, please email me at allhawg@yahoo.com. Thank you! (1/14/10)

CINDER is a 3 year old, spayed German Shepherd/husky mix. She is house trained and very good with kids and other animals. Cinder needs an active family, one with kids who will play with her daily or an athletic family who hikes, walks, runs and loves the outdoors. She would make a great cross country companion. She loves the out doors and loves to run. She does require a large securely fenced area. For more information, please call:337-2209 adoption fee and papers to be discussed upon meeting Cinder. (1/8/10)

AAKASHA "KASHA" is a 39 lb, 3 year old, spayed, Siberian Husky with papers. Born Oct 19, 2005. She is high energy, but loves to cuddle as well. She will take off if not on a leash; LOVES to run. She needs an active family, preferably without small children, as we do not have any and are not sure how she would react to them. She would probably be better as a single dog, depending on the other dog. She gets along with males much better than females. She is housebroken and knows many commands, but she is also very strong willed. We have a fenced yard and she has never tried to jump the fence; she doesn't do well chained up. She is very dear to me and it is hard to let her go, if you know of any families that would be a good match for this sweet pup please call Pamela at 907-654-4524.

POKITO is a WONDERFULL LOVING DEVOTED 2 year old male neutered male, UTD on vaccines, Chi that has blossomed quite well in foster but so needs that special FEMALE with NO OTHER PETS AND NO CHILDREN person who has raised her children has her own home and needs a loving companion to go EVERYWHERE with her. That is willing to make a lifetime commitment to him and keep him socialized. He has become much more trusting of people and even seems to like most everyone, but he needs a home with NO Children and a very clean home because he will eat most any item and likely die. He can be in a Medium kennel and does well, but he does not like to be home alone for to long. He will sit for hours on a lap while you work on the computer if his new owner did need to work from home. Rides great in a car and goes into stores well in a purse carrier. Loves walks on a leash, loves to sleep under the covers with you and is a great bed warmer. Knows basic commands...sit, stay, lay and knows what the word no means. He loves to lounge in the sun. He needs someone with knowledge of the Chihuahua breed and understands their temperament. For additional information, contact Theresa at 907/223-4183 lucasranch@gci.net and put Pokito in the subject line for e-mails to be read. PLEASE DO NOT CALL IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN OR CAN NOT BE HOME WITH POKITO MOST OF THE TIME OR YOU ARE NOT FEMALE. THANK YOU for understanding (8/13/09)
